The concept of Public relations is still considered ‘new’ in Pakistan, as organizations usually consider image building and communication with the stakeholders a secondary issue. However with the passage of time and the active role of media in public, private & corporate sector, local as well as multinationals operating in Pakistan have realized the true value of Public Relations, as now they are trying to put both financial & human resources in implementing promotional activities for their company.
The future of PR activities in Pakistan looks quite bright as internationally as well as in Pakistan, the bulk of business of all PR companies is media related and in Pakistan it is more so because it is an under-developed market. As the media becomes stronger, so will the PR business and the media related activities.
Moreover, PR has proved to be a major revenue earner for most of the Perception Management Companies, therefore this can also prove to be an incentive for the PR consultants.
