Babar Ayaz
Managing Director
Babar Ayaz founded Mediators in 1988 as the first independent public relations consultancy in the country. He is former chairman of International Public Relations Association (IPRA), Pakistan chapter. He has been associated with journalism for over 33 years. During this time he worked for the Sun, Pakistan Press International (PPI), Business Recorder and Dawn. He was Editor of Pakistan Business Update, the first private television news program in Pakistan dealing specifically with economic development and supervised production of over 500 programmes of 25 minutes each. He has been writing for Dawn, The News, The Nation, Business Recorder and for some foreign newspapers and magazines. He is also a regular columnist contributing to Business Recorder & Urdu daily Express. He has also contributed to The Economist Intelligence Unit (Asia) Hong Kong publications. He has been Pakistan correspondent of Depthnews (a feature service of the Press Foundation of Asia), Hindu and Frontline (India). As the head of the Mediators Conferences, he has conceptualized, organized and compared a number of international conferences. He has participated in various international and national conferences and workshops, and has lectured at various forums on the economic and social problems of Pakistan.

With over 28 years of varied Industry experience, he drives the Client Services team and ensures compliance and implementation of PR strategies and plans for all clients across the board. He also heads the corporate correspondence division, which not only coordinates with Pakistani companies but is also responsible for building & sustaining long-term cordial relationships with international firms.

She heads ‘The Mediators Conferences’ (TMC), which is a corporate events management company and has organized and arranged a number of events, seminars & conferences with some of the leading brands of the industry. She also heads the healthcare management projects and campaigns for some of the leading multinationals like GSK, ICI & Wyeth.

As the Director of Pakistan’s leading private production house, Adarsh has co-produced Pakistan Business Update (PBU), a weekly television programme produced for PTV. PBU not only covered trade related issues but also reported weekly business activities. ‘Adarsh Productions’ has also produced a number of corporate documentaries & programmes for some of the leading local and international companies like Shell, Unilever, SKB (now GSK), GETZ Pharma, CDC, SIUT etc.

He is responsible for supervising the Islamabad and Lahore offices of the company. He has over 30 years of experience in the tourism industry.  He has worked with the Federal Ministry of Tourism, looking after public relations, promotions and publications of the Ministry. Mr. Ayaz was also the editor of a tourism magazine. His knowledge in event management & public relations is a great asset.

Syed Abid Ali
Senior Manager Account Services & Special Projects
He is associated with the Mediators Group of Companies as ‘Senior Manager Client Services & Special Projects’ since 2005. He has done his MBA from Hamdard University Karachi and manages local (Pakistani institutions & multinationals operating in the country) as well as foreign clients of the company. His major responsibilities include client & media management, preparing & implementing perception management plans and PR & communications strategies, supervising research & analysis projects, evaluating economic activities and report writing. Formulating procedures for managing local & international media as well as clients is also included in his daily responsibilities. During conferences & corporate events he acts as the ‘Event Manager’ and supervises all operations & activities. Apart from heading all operations at the event, he is also responsible for coordination with the clients, sponsors, participants, venue managers, vendors to ensure smooth transition of all activities.

Apart from playing a major role in client services department, he also manages the media and has excellent relations with the senior editors & journalists of print & electronic media. He has been associated with the company for more than a decade. He heads the media monitoring & scanning division, which has now become a stand-alone product of Mediators, tailored to the client’s need. He reviews all the daily, monthly & quarterly media monitoring & tracking reports before dispatching them to the clients.

Manager Creative Services  

He heads the publication & creative services department. His responsibilities include designing of backdrops & banners, corporate profiles, brochures, conference & seminar kits. On the client side he looks after the printing & publication of in-house journals, advertisements, corporate catalogs, product portfolios, annual reports for the clients.
